Projected from the weights in your score. An estimate, not a promise.
Alcohol raises inflammatory markers and shortens deep sleep. Two dry days in a row do more than spreading the same amount thinner.

Zaffire Concept
One score, built from your own blood and your own habits, read through one idea: your body was shaped for a life you no longer live.
We evolved at the water's edge For most of human history we lived by coasts, rivers and lakes. Fish and shellfish, plants, daily movement, light and dark in their natural rhythm. Our biology still expects that life.
Modern life is the mismatch Sitting, late light, eating all day, alcohol, a low hum of stress. None of it is dramatic. Together it keeps inflammation, blood sugar and blood fats slightly off, for decades.
Nothing is mandatory, much is allowed We don't do diets. One day a week, or three meals, are yours to eat and drink as you like. The other six carry the score. We call it 7/7/24.
A lens, not a verdict The score is not a diagnosis. It shows which of your habits your blood is already responding to, and in what order to change them. Three changes at a time, never more.
The five indices
One page each. Start with the one your score points at.
The science behind it
Remko KuipersCardiologist and researcher. Sets the reference ranges and the weights in the score.
Scientific advisory boardPhysiology, cell biology, neurology, oncology and sport science. Reviews the model four times a year.
Reference rangesBanded by age and sex, from peer-reviewed sources.
Versioned rulesEvery score is stored with the version of the rules that produced it. When the rules change, you are told.
Words we use
Short, because the score should explain itself.
Score Your headline number, 0 to 100. A weighted sum of the five indices. Higher is always better.
Index One of five areas of your health, each scored 0 to 100 from blood values and habits together.
Datapoint A single value: a blood marker, a measurement or an answer. Scored 0 to 10 against the range for your age and sex.
Coverage How many of an index's values you have entered. With partial coverage the score shows as a range, never a guess.
Silent inflammation Low-grade inflammation that has no symptoms. Measured with hs-CRP, ferritin and homocysteine.
Lever A habit that moves an index. Your health plan ranks the levers by how much they would move your score and how easy they are to change.
Sprint Fourteen days on one lever, with a daily check-in. At the end you update your answer and the score moves.
Habit A lever you have kept for more than a sprint. Checked once a week instead of every day.
7/7/24 Our one rule about rules: six days carry the score, one day is yours.
A low, steady immune response with no symptoms. It wears on blood vessels, joints and the brain over years, and it answers to how you live within weeks.
What it is
Inflammation is how the body repairs. After an injury it flares and settles. Silent inflammation never settles: a small, constant signal that keeps the immune system slightly busy all the time.
You don't feel it. It shows in the blood first, then, years later, in the heart, the joints and the brain. That is why it sits in the score before anything hurts.
Measured from
What moves it
AlcoholRaises inflammatory markers and shortens deep sleep. Two dry days in a row do more than spreading the same amount thinner.
SleepBelow seven hours, markers worsen within days. A fixed wake time is the lever that works for most people.
MovementRegular activity lowers hs-CRP. Twenty minutes after lunch is the easiest place to start.
Body fatFat around the organs releases inflammatory signals of its own. Waist size tracks it better than weight.
Have you ever been treated for an eating disorder?
Are you under medical care for weight, diabetes or your heart?
If either answer is yes, sprints with fasting or daily weighing stay off your plan. Everything else works as before.

Good morning, Jenna. Your silent inflammation moved 64 → 70 since March. Two dry days a week did most of that.

About Zaffire
Science-based, holistic, a health lifestyle movement. We make healthy living and ageing reachable for everyone.
The company Zaffire Health Technology B.V., founded in Den Haag in 2022 by Maxim Spek, Remko Kuipers and Hans-Poul Veldhuyzen van Zanten. We sell insight — a check-up and a dashboard — and the supplements that follow from it.
The science Remko Kuipers, cardiologist and researcher, author of Oerdieet and Oergezond. What binds the three of us is a shared fascination with one insight: humans evolved at the water's edge, and our bodies still expect that life. It's no coincidence that all three of us surf and windsurf. That insight is the lens behind every score. A scientific advisory board reviews the model four times a year.
What we promise Nothing is mandatory, much is allowed. Your data stays yours: export it or delete it any time. We don't diagnose and we don't sell your data.
